Prime Minister Narendra Modi explores Vaman Vriksha Vatika in Ekta Nagar during Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations marking Sardar Patel’s 151st birth anniversary.

EKTA NAGAR, October 31, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Vaman Vriksha Vatika in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on Saturday as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations commemorating the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The visit was part of the Prime Minister’s two-day Gujarat programme, which highlighted national unity, tourism development and environmental initiatives around the iconic Statue of Unity.

During his visit, Modi also explored the newly developed Rain Forest attraction, which aims to provide visitors with an immersive experience of nature and biodiversity. The attractions are part of efforts to expand Ekta Nagar’s tourism offerings beyond the Statue of Unity.

Vaman Vriksha Vatika is among the nature-focused developments designed to promote greenery, environmental awareness and eco-tourism in the region.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity. He also inaugurated and dedicated several development projects worth more than Rs 400 crore and laid foundation stones for additional infrastructure initiatives.

The projects include improvements to Narmada Ghat, sewage and water treatment facilities, an IRCTC hotel, eco-tourism infrastructure and other visitor amenities.

The developments are expected to strengthen Ekta Nagar's position as a major tourist destination while improving facilities for visitors.

Modi's visit also coincided with the annual Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, which honour Patel's contribution to India's national integration.

Through its combination of ecological attractions, tourism infrastructure and cultural celebrations, Ekta Nagar continues to emerge as an important destination showcasing India's heritage, environmental initiatives and spirit of national unity.
